Tecrübeli koristlerden oluşan topluluk; Borusan Müzik Evi, Aya İrini Müzesi, Avusturya Kültür Ofisi gibi İstanbul’un prestijli mekânlarının yanı sıra, birçok koro festivalinde ve Türkiye’nin farklı şehirlerinde performans gösterdi. Rezonans, gerek koro şefliği atölyelerinde, gerekse uluslararası projelerde Simon Carrington, Volker Hempfling, Klaus-Jürgen Etzold, Qin Huang, Nigel Short, Brady Allred ve Paulo Lourenço gibi konuk şeflerle çalışma imkânı buldu. 'Geçsin Günler' albümünde İncesaz'a eşlik etti. Rezonans, çağdaş dönem eserleri üzerinde yoğunlaşan bir repertuvara sahip. Özellikle Türk bestecilerin 20. ve 21. yüzyıl eserleri, koro için önemli bir odak noktası oluşturuyor. In 1968, the choir was awarded the status of a National Choir. Over the years, the choir has been led by many talented conductors, e.g. Centis Kriķis, Kārlis Beinerts, Edvīns and Inga Dziļums, Ints Teterovskis, etc. Today the conductors of the choir are Evita Taranda and Zane Zilberte; choir master is Roberts Hansons. The repertoire of the choir varies, as performances include all sorts of music from the time of renaissance to modern music or music written by contemporary artists, e.g. Paul McCartney's oratorio "Ecce Cor Meum" or Czech composer Petr Eben's music "De Circuito Aeterno". The choir has performed in many countries and it has received many awards and international recognition in international competitions. The one hundred avid Choral singers, all non-music majors, come together into this vigorous and passionate auditioned musical group. With all their bright talents, immense potential, remarkable adaptability, diligence and love towards Choral music, the singers delight in performing works from a wide range of Choral repertoire, including canonic Western Choral literatures, American folklore, spirituals and gospel, music, Chinese art songs, Taiwanese folksongs, operatic Choral numbers, musical medleys, and commissioned works by Taiwan's own emerging talented composers. Johansen Choirs are truly honored to re...  more The Johansen High School Vocal Music Department provides our students the opportunity to perform great Choral literature while entertaining local audiences and performing at a variety of civic and community events. Johansen Choirs are truly honored to represent our community in various capacities as well as having the opportunity to tour throughout California, often giving students their first experience outside of Stanislaus County. We are excited that nearly 60 students will participate in the vocal music program at Johansen High School this year. Last year our choirs participated in multiple festivals, sang by invitation at many local events and toured San Diego. The department’s Viking Singers won a contest this summer and sang on stage with Foreigner at the County Fair. These talented students have been invited to participate in Gallo Center for the Arts first ever a cappella festival in April 2013.  less

The missio...  moreSilent Night performed by Nashville Singers Nashville Singers was founded in November of 2008 by a handful of men who had the desire to join their voices with the voices of others committed to excellence in vocal and Choral performance. The mission of Nashville Singers is to entertain, educate, unite and uplift their audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation, diversity and artistic excellence. Their philanthropic mission of Nashville Singers is to provide funding and support for music education in our schools and the community. The singers are all volunteers, range in age from teenagers to retirees and travel from five different counties throughout Middle Tennessee to be a part of the chorus. By the end of their sophomore year, Nashville Singers had learned 24 songs, released their first CD, performed for 15 organizations across Middle Tennessee, and produced a successful concert series which attracted attendees from 36 cities in eight states across the U...    less
