The Choir is open to adults 18+ irrespective of age or ability. There’s no audition and no need to be able to read music. The Choir is directed by Jenny Bennett, an experienced and inspirational Choir director.  

We are a small chamber Choir of 20-25 singers founded 55 years ago, based in the London borough of Hillingdon. We perform a wide repertoire of secular and sacred music, with and without accompaniment. Our concerts are at various venues in and around th...  moreWe are a small chamber Choir of 20-25 singers founded 55 years ago, based in the London borough of Hillingdon. We perform a wide repertoire of secular and sacred music, with and without accompaniment. Our concerts are at various venues in and around the borough, and once a year we perform with a small professional orchestra. We also hold regular social gatherings, to include families and friends, and enjoy musical evenings and events. Would you like to sing with us? New members in all voices are warmly welcomed. After a few weeks there is a short informal audition, which includes some sight-reading. Members are asked to pay a modest subscription of £11 per month by direct debit. We rehearse weekly during term time on Monday evenings from 8.00pm to 10.00pm, in the small parish hall at All Saints Church, Long Lane, Hillingdon, UB10 9BT. The small parish hall is behind the main church hall, and can be accessed from the side entrance.  less

Palestrina, Bach, Victoria, Britten, Howells, RVW, Elgar, Poulenc etc, Need enthusiasm, music reading and some sight singing, or a good ear and quick learning. We dont audition, but invite you to try us and we to try you for a couple of sessions and see. Perform about 2 or 3 times a year.

We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gone on to sing professionally in London. We sing a wide range of Classical repertoire, from Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works, many written by John Duggan. We have recorded two discs for The Gift of Music and give concerts in Oxford and London, as well as making regular trips to France and Italy.
