Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, 7:30 PM The Chapel at Concordia University 12800 North Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, WI The Milwaukee Choral Artists, Sharon Hansen, conductor, joins the National Lutheran Choir (Minneapolis, Minnesota), David Cherwein, conductor, for this very special, collaborative performance. Paul Rudoi, winner of MCA's 2011 "Young Composer's Composition Competition" and member of Cantus (also based in Minneapolis), has written a special composition for the combined ensembles that will be premiered in Milwaukee, then repeated in two performances when MCA travels to Minneapolis to perform with the National Lutheran Choir on their All Saints' programs November 3 and 4, 2012. We are sad that we are currently unable to stage live Concerts and engage professional musicians to play with us. These musicians, who are largely self-employed, have been especially hard hit by the Covid-19 restrictions. For our next virtual Concert in the Spring we hope to employ some and we are seeking donations to help make that happen. Cantorion was founded by Colin Jones in 1992 when he invited singers, who he knew and had taught and conducted previously in other Choirs across North Wales, to join his new chorus.
