The "plena" became very popular among sugar-cane workers at plantations in the coastal regions. This arrangement reflects a more modern interpretation of the plena with the use of the piano as accompaniment, taking rhythmic motives from salsa rythm, and the voices in the interlude imitating the trumpets and double bass from a salsa band.

Voyces is a small choral ensemble based in Perth, Western Australia. They specialise in contemporary choral repertoire. This is a live recording from Voyces 'Australiana' concert from August 2012 at the Perth Town Hall. They are conducted by Dr. Robert Braham.  less

The chamber choir comprises of some 40 adult mixed voices. SPS are based at the heart of a vibrant City of Leeds where it is one component of the larger Choral Foundation of Leeds Minster. Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings and singers are most welcome to come along. The Singer's perform concerts at the Minster as well as the wider Leeds area and further afield in Yorkshire, UK and internationally. St Peter's Singers have under taken recent overseas tours to Romania, Mallorca and Brittany France.  less
