Through this innovation, we are seeking to broaden the landscape of the choral repertoire for both student and professional Choirs. It's mission is to motivate, enrich, inspire and engage the Youth in working for God through evangelism with music. It is open to all Youth who members of Medoma Central S.D.A. Church and are between the ages of 10 and 45. It's membership currently stands at 60. The Choir performs during church services and other programs organised by the church. The two outer movements draw their words and inspiration from boisterous cries of 17th century market vendors as once featured in 'The Cries of London' by Orlando Gibbbons. The second movement features the words of a Scottish poet, William Dunbar (c. 1460-c.1520), in which he praises the English capital, and includes the line 'London, thou art the flower of cities all'. Together, these settings evoke a surprisingly contemporary impression of London's sights, sounds, and moods, inspiring some irresistible music, by turns contemplative and unquenchably thrilling. This 'capital' cantata was written in 2001 for the Diamond Jubilee of the Barnet Choral Society, of which Chilcott is President.  less

A joyous exclamation which is set at a wedding, where the groom is being asked: "Where are you hiding the bride". Traditional Sesotho South African traditional music is known for their movement and dancing in their songs, and the UP Youth Choir accentuates this by highlighting the movement in their performance.

Every one of them have learned and recorded ind...  moreThe Junior High Students of the Colegio Sembradores de Amistad in San Luis Potosí, Mexico show us that music is an universal language that brings us together, defeating every obstacle like time and space. Every one of them have learned and recorded individually a part of an original song (Vuela Alto = Fly High). When brought together, this parts sums to a wonderful show of talent and music. This project was made for the graduation prom by students aged between 13 and 15 years old. They show us that the only thing that matters to achieve anything is take the risk and surrender to your dreams. More than a third of them have never sung to an audience before (including Linda, the soloist). The music brings us together, it allows us to raise our voice to the universe and with it "Ni la distancia podrá separarnos" (Not even the distance can take us apart).  less
