The Choir has sung in many ...  moreThe "Joy Voices Youth Choir" is a Choir located in Casalmaggiore (Cremona, in the north of Italy) that prefers music of Anglo-Saxon tradition, gospel and spiritual, and it is directed since 2008 by Maestro Abele Zani. The Choir has sung in many cities in Italy and abroad, and has more than 300 performances to its credit.  

We are a fun, informal Choir singing songs from shows, films and charts - past and present. We welcome members of all abilities and experience. We meet in 2 venues in Norfolk, close to Wroxham and Norwich.

The repertoire includes works of different styles and epochs. The main part of the production is dedicated to the Church Slavonic music, variations of authentic Bulgarian folklore, and, in the same time, productions of modern Bulgarian authors. The vocal ensemble has set the ambitious task to reach a homogenous and beautiful sound, expressiveness and the right stylistic interpretation. “Prima” Choir has delivered artistic tours in Sweden (1997), Poland (1997), Greece (2002), Portugal (2004), France (2006), Albania (2010), Greece(2013)… The formation has taken part in the Balkan Mountains fest in Veliko Tarnovo in 2001. The Choir performs regularly in leading choral festivals of Europe and sings under the baton of world-renowned conductors. The Choir worked with Grammy© award winning composer Eric Whitacre, Nigel Short, former member of the famous British a capella band King’s Singers, Jo-Micheal Scheibe, the president of American Choral Directors Association and Volker Hempfling, among the most important living conductors of Germany. Rezonans performed with significant Choirs of the world within 6 seasons by hosting them in Istanbul: Yale Schola Cantorum (conducted by Simon Carrington), Salt Lake Vocal Artists (conducted by Brady Allred) and Junges Vokalensemble Hannover (conducted by Klaus-Jürgen Etzold). It was first created by a few friends in 1991, then enlarged over the years. It has been conducted by Stephan Nicolay since 2004. The Choir aims to share quality music and new experiences with the audience. That is why La Sestina often performs with crossover arts on a main theme e.g. French Renaissance chansons in 16th century clothes with an actress, a cappella sacred contemporary music with dancers and video projection, Baroque French music with Chamber orchestra and a lecturer, medieval Spanish music with mediterranean ensemble of lutes and percussions, etc. Also, the Choir aims at supporting humanitarian and social actions by offering one or several concerts each year.
