Supported by some of New York’s finest freelance orchestra players, The Choral Society’s concerts are designed to bring The arts directly to The community through The uniquely inclusive medium of choral singing. The Choral Society is in residence at Grace Church in New York, one of The city’s most beloved landmarks.

The group was formed with some of Brisbane’s best and most experienced Ensemble singers, most of whom sing regularly with oTher choirs in and around The city and have extensive performing and touring experience both around Australia and internationally. The singers range across an assortment of careers, from educators to environmental engineers, and from students to musicians. They are drawn togeTher because of Their passion for singing and produce an energy in performance that immediately connects with Their audience. In programming, Fusion specialises in early and new music – from Jean Mouton and Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla to Cyrillus Kreek, Arvo Pärt, and Henryk Mikolaj Górecki. With members graduated from Hong Kong traditional schools like Diocesan Boys’ School, Belilios Public School, St. Paul’s Coeducation College, Ying Wa Girls’ School, St. Stephen’s Girls’ College, St. Paul’s College, Wah Yan College Kowloon, and also universities like The Hong Kong University and The Chinese University, The group was immediately invited by The HKSAR government to a celebration performance in early July 2010. The group also presented a Standard professional program of sacred music in its first concert “Inspiratio” in August 2010, and a Themed concert, featuring a range of masterpieces of Chinese Choral music,「聲．華」in August 2011, which won critical acclaim from local music conductors, composers and musicians.
