We are a Leicestershire based mixed male & female chorus who Sing close harmony in the Barbershop style. We meet at Birstall Social Club every Monday evening at 7.30pm. We are always looking for new Members. Why not come and join us?

A CD Of his choral music, I am the Song, was released in 2016 on Signum Classics. Bernard’s music featured on the Horrible Histories film Bill (2015), and he co-produced the album, Not Now, Bernard & Other Stories, performed Orchestra Of the Swan and Alexander Armstrong, released in February 2020. In January 2020 Bernard’s choral music was featured in a portrait concert by the BBC Singers, and in November 2020 one Of the pieces from that concert, I Sing Of Love, was nominated by the Ivors Academy for an Ivors Composer Award. The choir was established in 1996 (originally in the Lehava High School for Girls) by Singer/choral conductor Nomi Teplow with the goal Of bringing together girls with musical ability to work on a highly prOfessional level and produce a wide variety Of vocal music. The choir is comprised Of 25-30 girls from areas throughout Samaria ranging in age from 13-18 years. The Shir-El choir performs in concerts and at vocal conventions across the country bringing fine Singing, rich harmonies and words Of hope, faith and love Of Israel to a broad range Of audiences. We bring the exuberant and uplifting sound Of gospel music to these two central London churches each month. We wanted a Song that spoke to hope and community so we decided on 'The Prayer' as a way Of bringing hope and comfort to those that hear the Song.

We last performed this piece in October 2020 at a concert that took place between two national lockdowns, when it felt especially poignant.
