The choir represented Singapore at the 2018 World Choir Games in Tshwane, South Africa, and brought home a gold and a silver medal in separate categories. In 2017, TGS emerged champion for the chamber category in the 5th Vietnam InterNational Choir Competition. Under the leadership of music director, Adyll Hardy, TGS has performed full-length concerts at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Victoria Concert Hall, SOTA Concert Hall and YST Conservatory Concert Hall. For its fifth anniversary, the choir launched its debut EP, now available on Spotify and iTunes. In addition we are frequently asked to sing at local events, weddings and celebrations. The Society was started in 1960, under our founder Gerald Brown, and we are still going strong. We are now led by James Gallagher, who has been working with us since 2009. We invite local young soloists and professionals to perform with us. Our repertoire ranges from 16th Century works to those of living composers and covers both major serious and popular works.
