This particular setting was composed with a small Mixed-ability Choir in mind, so the voices are mainly in two pArts (men's and women's voices), splitting to four pArts (SATB) occasionally, where the words suggest it. The musical style is reminiscent of the 19th century although the piano part does go into 20th century style syncopation at times.

In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. A fountain wher in this case the musical joy stArts to spray it's joyful notes. The love for music and the willingness to reach a good Choir sound is the starting point of this ambitious group of amateur singers. The Choir members originate from different kind of choral background (close harmony, church Choir and oratorium Choir). Endora consists of 8 sopranos, 8 altos, 5 tenors and 5 basses.  

From 2012 up to now our Choir group is still alive. We started in small number of members until it grew bigger and bigger. During those times we were known to be a very good chorale group in our Diocese. It was the time where or group shined the most. Lik...  moreFrom 2012 up to now our Choir group is still alive. We started in small number of members until it grew bigger and bigger. During those times we were known to be a very good chorale group in our Diocese. It was the time where or group shined the most. Like other groups, our group also had its flop. Some of us are already busy studying in college after we graduated high school. That's why we need to find new members. We suffered from having lack of commitment of other members, and it gave us a difficult time to find new members. But our Maestro never gave up. He continued to build the group. We have a lot of plans to build again and let this group shine again with its brightest light. We are still sharing our music because welove this group and the passion to serve Christ through music is burning within our heArts.  less

A part of the Choir's performance at 44th Croatian Choral Assembly held in October 2011 in Novigrad. The performance has been awarded 3rd place and bronze plaque by the jury.
