It offers an opportunity to hear the very best in a long tradition of Welsh male voice singing. Cantorion was founded by Colin Jones in 1992 when he invited singers, who he knew and had taught and conducted previously in other Choirs across North Wales, to join his new chorus. Since Colin and John Daniel's retirement, Aled Wyn Edwards has been able to match their skills in voice production and choral management with the enthusiasm and commitment of some of North Wales finest male choral singers and soloists and during the last 12 months has established a male chorus with a special sound and quality now recognised after its numerous tours and performances in many countries, worldwide.  less

It was founded more than 30 years ago with David Wordsworth as its Musical Director from 1995 to 2023. Our current classical Musical Director is Matthew Thomas Morgan, and our current jazz Musical Director is Jill Jarman. the group comprises two classical Choirs – an auditioned Chamber Choir and a much larger non-auditioned Oratorio Choir; and two jazz Choirs – an auditioned mixed Jazz Ensemble and a larger non-auditioned all-female Jazz Choir. It also offers two different singing classes to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and the more experienced singer. the Addison Singers normally operate on three 10-week terms (the same as the schools) with a concert or recital at the end of each term.
