We got an idea for this video while we were on tour in Latvia (composer's homeland), in a coastal city Liepāja. Only on the waves of our dreams can we return to the time of our childhood, only in sleep we can for a short time become little boys and girls again – they still live somewhere within us. In the face of modernization, music serves as a tool for this group to preserve their history, traditions, and culture. Tsáchilas music-making includes dance, philosophy, spirituality, cultural traditions, and community involvement with a strong connection to nature and respect for the land. by singing this piece, our ensemble is actively helping to protect and promote the Tsáchila community.
