This a-cappella 4-voice version uses three altos and one bass, a cappella. It explores a couple of alternative modes for the theme: Octatonic and Dorian. Its goal is to provide a quality opportunity for choral singers to learn or improve their craft. The chorus sings a wide variety of music, including classical, spiritual, folk, Broadway and old standards. The group presents two concerts each year – at Christmas, and in the Spring. It has performed with the Temecula Vintage Singers, and for the Temecula Arts in the Country festival, as well as many local appearances for deserving organizations. The chorus rehearses and performs in the Temecula area. The chorus is one of the Resident Companies performing at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. All women are welcome, who can carry a tune and love to sing. The chorus is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with Tax ID: 20-1694150.  less

The Ensemble performs masterworks of the choral-orchestral repertoire such as Beethoven's 9th Symphony and Orff's Carmina Burana, as well as opera choruses, a cappella repertoire, and works specially composed for them. Performances include world-renowned guest soloists and musicians. The Ensemble is directed by internationally acclaimed conductor and composer Steven Sametz. Lehigh University Choral Union has performed at New York's Carnegie Hall and has toured internationally in China, Portugal, Hawaii, Italy, Spain, Austria and Hungary. No audition is required but the ability to read music is helpful.  less

The Sierra Boys Choir is the new revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm. Our goal is to provide musical and artistic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. Our aim is to be fun and entertaining on many levels, from practices to shows, even to social events on the town. We put all volunteers through a background check, and we ask some degree of participation from parents. The Sierra Boys Choir is a 501c3 non-profit corp. Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All choir Ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival.  less
