Cassie Luftspring was appointed as Elektra’s new Artistic Director in 2025 following Morna Edmundson’s departure at the end of the choir’s 38th season. Cassie brings her unique vision and expertise to lead Elektra into an exciting new chapter. Elektra is known for its brilliant programming and multidisciplinary initiatives, with collaborative artist Dr. Stephen Smith playing a pivotal role in their spellbinding performances. Commissioned by Central Bucks High School-West, premiered at the ACDA Conference 2020 (Rochester, NY) by the Central Bucks High School-West Women’s choir. This piece is a protest: a poignant outcry forged from silenced echoes, demanding to be heard. “Human” celebrates the mosaic of humanity—diversity in our DNA, the kaleidoscope of genders, and the unity that emerges when we embrace our differences. Perfect for advanced women’s choirs, festivals, and programs exploring justice and identity Lyrics: Joe Hazell & Gianni Recupero Music: Santiago Veros  less
