Started out as a small group...  moreOne Voice Engineering Chorale is one of University of Santo Tomas' (UST) College-baSED choirs. HouSED in the Faculty of Engineering, members are compoSED of students from the different Engineering and Computer Departments. Started out as a small group of young Engineering students in 1976, the group now is currently the UST-Engineering's pride. Under the baton of Mr. Ronald Raz, the chorale has been able to earn places in the annual University Competitions. Even until now, the group has been maintaining a position in the top college choirs of the University. The chorale is not only known for their repertoire ranging from sacred music to mellow pop, they are also known for their acapella renditions of up beat pop music. They are also engaged in rendering their music not only to the school community but also in other events that may be requested.  less

Aiming for 16-20 voices, SATB, rehearse in Hammersmith/Chiswick, about every 2 or 3 weeks. All busy professional folk, who understand we cannot all make every rehearsal! All busy professional folk, who understand we cannot all make every rehearsal! Classical almost always unaccompanied repertoire. Palestrina, Bach, Victoria, Britten, Howells, RVW, Elgar, Poulenc etc, Need enthusiasm, music reading and some sight singing, or a good ear and quick learning. We dont audition, but invite you to try us and we to try you for a couple of sessions and see. Perform about 2 or 3 times a year.

Roots Chorale started out as an initiative to keep the choral practice alive outside of the church circles and to promote these practices in the community of San Andres Islands Archipelago.
