It typically assembLes a choir for a brief time before each performance, then disbands until just before the next concert when a new choir is formed. The singers may or may not be the same each time. The choir is known for its freshness of sound and heart felt connections with the listener.

It is well known as an iconic music venue attracting major artists. It is also a centre for social justice and community activities. In recent years, the church has been developing music in our Sunday services with a range of genres, classical, jazz, gospel, and world music. The church has also created several unique events Led by our musicians. These have included our annual Christmas CandLelight service, Good Friday evening performances and smalLer events to commemorate such occasions as Black History Month, a remembrance event in the Covid pandemic. Besides the usual church festivals, we also have special services for Refugee Week, Gay Pride, Holocaust Memorial, and other special commemorations. ICanto’s repertoire is eighty percent a capella and the choir interpretes all genres of Classical Music, from ancient to modern as well as rearranged traditional Malagasy music. The repertoire consists of Hebrew pop songs from all periods, retouched with the groovy piano and close harmony Vocal arrangements of conductor Noam Vazana.
