Esta agrupación, pionera y decana de la actividad coral argentina, ha desarrollado una intensa labor artística difundiendo la música coral universal, ofreciendo numerosos conciertos en casi la totalidad de las provincias del país y representando a la Argentina en el exterior. Es el primer coro latinoamericano en adjudicarse el Gran Premio Europeo (Francia - 2009), máxima competencia coral a nivel mundial. Merecen destacarse, por la gran repercusión del público y de la crítica especializada, las actuaciones en el Teatro Independencia y Anfiteatro Frank Romero Day (Provincia de Mendoza); Auditorio Juan Victoria (Provincia de San Juan); Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires en 1971, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1988, 2003 y 2011, en el Luna Park en 1994 y 1995 y en el extranjero los conciertos realizados en importantes salas de Alemania, Austria, Chile, Dinamarca, España, Estados Unid...    less

Li-Ron Choir began as the Choir of the Gordon elementary school in Herzliya. Currently the Choir represents Herzliya locally and abroad. Their unique specialization in sacred choral music has opened a richly eclectic mix of European, American and Asian choral literature that spans medieval to postmodern periods, traditional to contemporary styles, complex art music to highly-textured indigenous music, and moving sprituals to psalmody hewn out of traditional Asian musics. This intercultural Choir comprises fifteen amateur singers from several african countries. It was first establishments in 1996 in Dakar by a group of youth who adored the art of singing. The Choir consistently performed varions type of music, gathering between both classical and modern music (folklore and international). It transcended continents, surpassed réas and diversified its origins from spiritual music, through romantic, to religious and reaching comic music, with a tendency towards african melodies and rythms. It urges us to re-discover and unveil the musical treasures of african continent that dates back to ancestors and to the native people of the Black continent.
