I hit upon the idea of making a kind of checklist of everything that needed to be created to get the world to this point, without each individual culture's stories or myths or exoticisms. I went back to the first chapter of Genesis, to see what I could get out of my own culture's story, and I stripped away all the descriptions, adjectives, connectors and motivators. Huddersfield Piazza on Saturday 12/5/12 @ 11am - A group of Singers from the Gledholt Male Voice Choir, Marsh Ladies Choir and other choirs from as far a field as Cheshire and Harrogate plus a few willing Hollybank trust staff surprised the onlooking sho...  moreHuddersfield Piazza on Saturday 12/5/12 @ 11am - A group of Singers from the Gledholt Male Voice Choir, Marsh Ladies Choir and other choirs from as far a field as Cheshire and Harrogate plus a few willing Hollybank trust staff surprised the onlooking shoppers by performing an impromptu performance of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. The rousing performance was part of Gledholt MVC's Gala day which included performances from Elvis, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Pipe Band and also a Zumba class. There was also a concert in Huddersfield town hall in the evening. Out Aloud is Sheffield's Gay choir. It was formed in 2006 and enables lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgendered people in Sheffield to enjoy singing as a community. There are no auditions and members dont need to be experenced Singers or read music.
