We celebrated in 2015 the thirtieth birthday of our association which has a long experience in exchange and sharing around choir singing. We hAve organized several festivals, masterclasses and various exchanges and thus contributed to the promotion of our region, the «département des Alpes-Maritimes» and to the development of choral singing (see examples below).
Over the past four years, The Mercantour choirs (Les Choeurs du Mercantour) hAve had a particularly rich activity and hAve participated in important national and internation... less

We hAve sung this song in another arrangement many times in concert with Steve Knightley and Show Of Hands. This new version by Kirsten Pagel, is for a female quartet, with rich dark harmonies and a tender, aching feel.
We dedicate it to all who hAve passed through war, both in the past and unfortunately now, in the present. We also sing it for those within our communities that hAve recently lost a loved one. It has been such a difficult time to be grieving. We sing it for you to remember the best times, the friendship and the comradery and most of all, for the love that you shared together.
Our charity for this song, is South Brent and District Caring, a small charity that looks after people in the community, provides crisis relief and comfort.

Then Pro Vocant is the ensemble for you. Since its foundation in 2007, the Bremen based ensemble has been putting its own spin on the world of music, with interpretations that continue to surprise their audiences.
Six male solists present the deep yet humorous side of vocal music. Their clarity in sound and expression, the abillity to let music speak for itself, sets them apart. Their individual artistic skills and personalities harmonize into a one of a kind ensemble!
Pro Vocants musical interpretation has been well received all over, earning them a third placing at the German A cappella Contest 2012!
Pro Vocant cooperates regularly with other artists and groups , ranging from projects with the worldmusician Willy Schwarz, the female ensemble Jinger and Tonic from Melbourne to joint concerts with other vocal groups like VIP und arcanum musicae from Dresden. less

CANTALA, Lawrence University Women’s choir perform a perfect version of "Almas de Barro" by Santiago Veros live in concert on October 12, 2019 in Lawrence Memorial Chapel under the direction of Dr. Phillip A. Swan.
foreward:
Santiago Veros wrote Almas de Barro at the age of 19, dedicating it to a young woman who at the time was shy and with whom he rarely talked. This piece intimately describes the moments during music theory classes when the two would look at each other continuously, youthfully, and silently, as if unable to do anything
else.
The piece, written as a counterpoint assignment, was intended to be performed during music theory class as a declaration of love. The idea was to make a musical representation of those moments. The piece begins without words, the voices representing youthful looks. They come together and occasionally dodge each other to highlight the discomfort ... less
