Every year Dziesmuvara takes part in international or national Choral competitions. Since 2013 the choir has travelled to Poland, Lithuania, France and Czech Republic and all around Latvia. Dziesmuvara also participates in the Latvian Song Celebration festivals and occasionally teams up with fellow university and youth choirs to sing together in Concerts. The more, the merrier!

We aim to express processes in human development, so we build our programs around subjects that we research from different angles, including “Prayer”, “Song of the Earth”, “Peace”, and “Water”. In 2016 we created a program called “Silence” in collaboration with the Israeli Brass Quintet.
