Since 1998, it has been gathering in Poznań young people from various universities - people who are musically talented, active and open to new friendships and exchange of cultural experiences. The Academic choir of Gdańsk University of Technology performed at the Second Gala Concert of the 16th edition of the festival. The concert was held in the Adam Mickiewicz University Aula, known for its excellent acoustics. The choir performed among distinguished performers such as the Academic choir of Warsaw University, the Academic choir of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the choir of Mahidol University from Thailand, and the percussion duo of Piotr and Bartłomiej Sutt.  less

(“Where you die, I will die and be buried.”) The tune and harmonies are borrowed from a passage in my piece Selections from “The Song of Songs” for male voice and band. That piece is dedicated to my wife, Ruth, hence the connection. If that were not enough, our daughter is named Naomi! The Song of Ruth closes with a recapitulation of the music from the opening, but with new words assigned to it, and with the soprano soloist providing a descant for it. (“May the Lord cause ill fate to befall me, and more, if anything but death separates me and you.”) Appropriat...    less

But Music doesn't stop and the Vox Canora singers, even though physically distant, want to try to "Fix You" with this video where you'll find the typical Vox Canora moments of irony.
