In addition, it also conducts theoretical and practical studies in the field of Western Classical Music. Başkent Philharmonic aims to present both the works of our Contemporary Turkish Music and outstanding examples of Western Music to people by organising music education, historical and theoretical research, concerts, lectures and conversations appealing to all segments of society with its choir, orchestra and musicology sub-unit. The group is composed of talented students of the college from different levels, gathered together by their common passion, the passion for singing. But talent and passion is not enough, rehearsing is also one of the essential elements in creating good music. With Mr. Karl Angelo Tangco, a voice major from the College of Music, as their conductor, they were able to produce great music together through continuous rehearsals, and so, the journey of the chorale begins...  less

It is often asked to participate in important European events of which the most recent was the enlargement of the EU to 27 member states. The Choir frequently performs with renowned European symphony orchestras and soloists in Brussels and in many capitals and other cities across Europe.
