Emphasis is placed on deve...  moreThis show choir, under the direction of Allison Surratt, is comprised of students ages 11-14. Students meet each week for a 60 minute class learning the fundamentals of synchronized moves and Harmony while singing popular songs. Emphasis is placed on developing good fundamental vocal skills, part-singing, sight reading, choreography, stage presence and musicianship. The Charlotte Glee Club performs at Charlotte Academy of Music as well as community events.

We enjoy entertaining and competing, and have a lot of fun, whilst constantly working on improving our sound. We always welcome visitors at our rehearsals, and are always happy to recruit new members. The chorus is a member of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS)  

We sing contemporary acappella: unaccompanied close Harmony arrangements of jazz, pop, gospel and do-wap classics, including original arrangements by our members.
