Members of the Choir come from the multi-cultured community around ...  moreAbout the BAVE CHAMBER Choir The BAVE CHAMBER Choir is focus group formed out of the BAVE Community Choir in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in 2017 to participate in music festivals and events. Members of the Choir come from the multi-cultured community around the Klang Valley. The BAVE Chamber Choir is part of the BAVE Community Choir. BAVE Community Choir was launched in 2015 as part of BTSM’s outreach to the community. Both the Community and Chamber Choirs are part of the Broadway Theater Society Malaysia’s activity groups. Members of the Chamber Choir will have to first be part of the main Community Choir. The BTSM is a non-profit organization, formed to promote performing arts in Malaysia by the community, for the community. BAVE maintains a strong policy that “Everyone Can Sing”. The tagline for BAVE is “NO AUDITION & NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED”. The Choir is non-auditioned but members who join will have to commit to rehearsals and group activities. The Sierra Boys Choir is the new revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the Choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the Choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm. Our goal is to provide musical and artistic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. Our aim is to be fun and entertaining on many levels, from practices to shows, even to social events on the town. We put all volunteers through a background check, and we ask some degree of participation from parents. The Sierra Boys Choir is a 501c3 non-profit corp. The Choir continually strives to sing at professional standards under the expert musical directorship of David Crown. The Choir has a varied programme throughout the year including charity concerts, festivals, workshops, Come and Sing events, CD recordings and a hugely popular Carol Concert.  

Formed in April 2020 as a result of COVID-19, the group started to continue the passion we all share in music.

The Choir is a group of talented students who enjoy making music together. it allows you to make lifelong friendships and contacts, and build crucial teamwork skills. The Choir is made up of undergraduate and graduate students auditioned from all facult...  moreThe Choir is a group of talented students who enjoy making music together. it allows you to make lifelong friendships and contacts, and build crucial teamwork skills. The Choir is made up of undergraduate and graduate students auditioned from all faculties and grades and performs several concerts every year, and at important university ceremonies. Participation always begins in the Fall semester, and continues all the way to graduation commencement in June. The Choir performed in joint concerts with Choirs from Duke University, Yale University, Harvard University, Perugia University and Missouri Drury University.  less
