Shall we find the stable room lit by a star? Can we see the little child, is He within? If we lift the wooden latch, may we go in? May we stroke the creatures there, ox, ass or sheep? Our aim was to capture a serious English Boys C...  moreAs part of the Vocal Art Ensemble's "Inkspell--Choral Music Inspired by Masters of Poetry" concerts in May, 2012, this piece for treble chorus and piano by Jere Hutchinson sets e.e. cummings' whimsical poem. Our aim was to capture a serious English Boys Choir poise while making the most of the poems playful spookiness, so we elicited help from the men of the chorus to try and 'frighten' the women singing.

Within this organisation, there are two sister groups: NOVA, the core group of singers performing to accompaniment and The Grace Notes who sing a Cappella. Rehearsals are held weekly and fundraising concerts for local charities are run each year in May and December.
