The s...  moreFormed in 2016 as Academy Voices, North Sky Chorale performs in and around Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It typically assembles a choir for a brief time before each performance, then disbands until just before the next concert when a new choir is formed. The singers may or may not be the same each time. The choir is known for its freshness of sound and heart felt connections with the listener.

We believe that music can positively impact and enrich lives. Our performances reflect this belief in their use of such seasonal themes as ‘freedom’ and ‘healing’ and ‘our mother earth;’ and in presentation of mostly new music in a way that is accessible. Our educational programs reflect this belief by training emerging professionals, planting seeds within young people for a lifetime of music involvement, and growing the skills of our own members. Under the direction of soprano and singing teacher Michelle Nova, the singers perform an eclectic repertoire of classical, sacred, operatic and modern choral music. Their unique sound is characterised by its vibrancy and fullness, a result of the bel canto technique which all the singers are trained in.

Horlick High School, Gilmore Middle School, McKinley Middle School, Olympia Brown Elementary, Gifford Elementary, Winslow Elementary, Wadewitz Elementary and AppleChor from Red Apple Elementary combined to sing it as the Finale to the festival. There were about 280 children involved.
