With more than 80 years experience performing a cappella (unaccompanied) music and a repertoire that ranges from Vocal jazz to barbershop, Chutzpah! is "in your face" right from the start and with every chord. Being a recent ensemble, it premiered in the March 2015 concert with the Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in the Chapel of Covão do Coelho and the Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Initially, the singers performed mainly in their home town and neighbouring areas, actively accumulating experience for their first serious contest, the Latvian National Contest for Vocal Ensembles, in 1999. Success amongst the tough competition in the category of female ensembles encouraged the singers to participate in international contests, resulting only in awards. Success increases the joy of singing and in order to spread positive emotions to a greater number of Vocal music admirers, Anima Solla began concert trips to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Lithuania and Australia. Anima Solla has three different concert programmes – sacred music, compositions of Latvian composers and folk song arrangements, as well as jazz and popular music. The group has also recorded 3 CDs - Domine Dominus Noster which includes sacred music compositions, Vai tā mana vaina bija (Was it my fault) with different Latvian folk song arrangeme...    less
