This setting of the Communion Service uses mainly the Mixolydian and Dorian modes (with short excursions into Lydian and Aeolian and occasionally jazzy modes). It is performed by the composer - multitracking.

We are specifically aimed at experienced singers who want to work quickly in a non-regular rehearsal setting. Imagine a Book Club for Choral singers! Each session every two or three weeks, we will look at a couple of new songs, chosen by differend members of the group, from the whole history of Music, form Monvererdi to Madness. We have two experienced conductor/singers who will be happy to lead any session, but all singers will be encouraged to lead their own song choices if they wish. The aim, in the first intance, is to have fun exploring as much choral repertoire as possible, in a fun and collaborative enviroment. We do not intend to book up concerts straight away - once we've had a few meetings and looked at enough repertoire then we'll think about performances. Let's work to get the Music right first!  Our repertoire consists mainly of folk, gospel, pop and freedom songs all sung in glorious 4 part harmony and mostly in a capella style. All Choir members have online access to MP3 recordings of their parts so they can practise anytime.

We love welcoming new people so it would be great to have you along. There is no audition and everyone is welcome to come and check us out for a night before they join.  less

However, it also sings with instrumental accompaniment. The Choir has pieces from different ages, languages and styles in its repertoire. It gives both Turkey and world premieres of songs. It premiered the concerto Romeo and Juliet, composed by the conductor Agosyan last year.
