The choir is conducted by Paul Robinson and rehearses every Wednesday at The Gillingham Golf Club at 8pm. The choir is currently looking for new members; The ability to read music is not essential, however, it is helpful and can be very useful. The choir welcomes anyOne who has a passion for singing. Like most traditional male voice choirs we learn all of our pieces from memory and do not use copies. The choir has a wide-ranging repertoire from West End showstoppers to opera, religious and traditional choral music. The choir has gained a reputation for doing many concerts for charity and have raised a lot of mOney over The years for a number of different causes. The choir has performed twice at The Royal Albert Hall with over One hundred choirs in The Festival of Brass and Voices for cancer research UK. Exultate is The Twin Cities' only professional choir with a self-contained orchestra. The group's normal size is about 45 singers and 22 instrumentalists. Once a year Exultate expands its ranks to become a larger-than-chamber festival choir and orchestra, performing and recording such major works for voices and instruments as A German Requiem by Brahms (sung in English), The Seven Last Words of Christ by Théodore Dubois (also in English), Mozart's Grand Mass in C Minor, Francis Poulenc's Gloria, The Mass in B Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach and The Requiems of Gabriel Fauré and John Rutter. Exultate has produced nineteen recordings so far - seven are Christmas albums with unique Christmas carol arrangements, many written especially for Exultate.
