As you may observe, former members of The choir (those without The burgundy coates) are welcomed up to join The choir in this finale Song in each concert, as it has been for 37 years in a row! (And if They are observed by The conductor when arriving to The churc and choose NOT to join, They are very kindly told to do so! This caused a special occasion in this concert: a moTher and a daughter singing in The same choir! :-)) This year our guest conductor Inger Lise Hope, also a former member, took on The job at short notice because of illness. Indeed, she did a great job in three concerts!  less

The Song is arranged with modern vocal effect and technique to express The atmosphere and environment of The poem. The poem describes a girl who has long been waiting for her lover to come back from far away. The clatter of horse hoofs has given her hope. However, it is just a passer-by, not her lover.
