We are a friendly, non-auditioning, mixed voice choir of around 60 singers from Didcot and surrounding villages. We encourage choral Singing for all ages and abilities, including those who have never sung in choirs before as well as very experienced singe...  moreWe are a friendly, non-auditioning, mixed voice choir of around 60 singers from Didcot and surrounding villages. We encourage choral Singing for all ages and abilities, including those who have never sung in choirs before as well as very experienced singers. We perform a wide range of music throughout the year and we're committed to contributing to the cultural life of our area. There is no need to audition, just to love Singing! Our musical director is Rupert Gill.  

Mom, dad, 4 kids... all Singing, playing any instrument since 2005. Adore rich vocal arrangements, especially in rock music. Perform with Beatles covers, Queen covers, all times rock covers and original songs.

Membership is open to men and women (including High School and College students) of all ages who enjoy Singing. New members are always welcome. GGCC generally performs at least two concerts per year, a Winter/Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert.

What should I do? I don't have any money. I would marry you if I did." This outdoor performance was the culmination of a six-week project which creates a choir from scratch for one night only. Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gathers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. There are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear. It's of course a wink to my favorite musical movie - I must have watched it at least a dozen times. It keeps inspiring my love for Singing. We mostly sing musical songs, but not exclusively. We are dedicated to making this a great amateur choir. But, as Mary Poppins sang: 'In every job that must be done / there is an element of fun / You find the fun / and SNAP the job's a game'

The choristers looked at the formation of the choir as further development to their shared roots from Singing with the Limburg Cathedral Boys Choir. They also looked to continue the tradition of successful male chamber choirs founded by former members of Limburg Cathedral Boys Choir, which is unique in Germany. The ensemble has committed itself to presenting the audience with unfamiliar male choir works of the highest level, but without neglecting the traditional canon of compositions, which makes for a exceptional combination. The repertoire includes a range of the following: Gregorian chants, works of old masters, romantic motets, contemporary compositions, arrangements of jazz and pop songs.
