Nevenka Is a Los Angeles-based women's folk chorus performing Music from Eastern Europe. The group was formed in 1976 by women who shared a common interest in the complex harmonies and compelling rhythms typical in Balkan Music. Very much in the Eastern European tradition, Nevenka includes women of all ages making Music together.

We perform sing outs for local groups in our area of Hampton in South West London, and take part in local fairs and festivals. Our weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays are a fun evening of singing, chatting and having fun together. We are always open to having new members. Experience Is not required, nor Is the ability to read Music as we have 'teach tracks' with the songs in your part on (tenor, lead, baritone or bass) and access to these are given alongside sheet Music. ThIs project was made for the graduation prom by students aged between 13 and 15 years old. They show us that the only thing that matters to achieve anything Is take the rIsk and surrender to your dreams. More than a third of them have never sung to an audience before (including Linda, the soloIst).
