Since 2009 and thanks to his founder, Oscar Allen, the Choral Project has been working with young singers and developing young voices to excell in the interpretation and enjoyment of choral music and group singing. Due to an intensive and hard work, its members receive a full choral and scenic education, structured in the vocal individual technique and its different types of sound emission; on the development of corporal skills expression, and in the grupal practice of the choral exercise. This education is complemented by the permanent contact with other artistic disciplines as ballet and theatre are. Even though the repertoire performed is diverse and heterogeneous, its preferences are focused on the amazing generation of current Spanish composers and the beautiful treatment given by them to the voice. Directe...  moreBlossom Street is a highly versatile and vibrant chamber choir comprising some of the UK’s best young singers which performs regularly on TV and radio as well as on the concert platform, and has released two critically acclaimed CDs with Naxos. Directed by Hilary Campbell, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, the group was formed a decade ago, while the singers were studying at the University of York, and relocated to London in 2007. In York, Blossom Street filmed a medley of Christmas carols for BBC2, which was broadcast during the snooker final in 2005, and since then has performed nationwide and beyond. They sang to Prince Charles on ITV1 as part of his 60th birthday celebrations, and gave their debut in Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the Voicelab series in 2009. Our repertoire is diverse, and we are open to all church members and also to anyone who is friendly to the church. No special requirements. We are stretching ourselves to be better music readers and vocal technicians, and also to be able to learn music by ear, memorize Simpler songs quickly, and be free in our bodies while singing.

Performing three concerts a year with professional soloists and orchestra, we are fast broadening our repertoire singing music from all genres with a truly varied programme of the highest quality. We are a non auditioned choir, always keen to encourage new members, particularly Tenors. We rehearse on Mondays from 7.30 to 9.30 at St Peter's Church, Wyndham Square, Plymouth.
