In this time The Choir has participated in The Madrid Community Choir contest, obtaining The first prize in 2009 and 2010, and The secón prize in 2007 and 2008 Within The Choir activities, we could also mention Their participation in Theatre productions of The musicals Persephone and Midas by Steve Pogson, with which They obtained The first prize in The Vademorillo Theatre contest. They were also awarded first prize in The Community of Madrid Theatre contest, with The musical Super Jim, a play which was written specially for The Choir by The British authors Steve Pogson and George Simmers. It doesn’t have an exact date of birth, because it began as a way to get togeTher, raTher than as a formal Choir. They don’t have a uniform, a fixed meeting place, or a specific repertoire genre. As a result of The love They had for Choir music, They felt a need for a School Choir to ...  moreUviwe Senior Secondary School Choir, shortly know as Uviwe SSS Choir was founded in 1997 by a group of students, most of whom used to sing in various church Choirs. As a result of The love They had for Choir music, They felt a need for a School Choir to be established. From The first year of its existence, Choir was trained and prepared for The Schools’ eisteddfods by two fellow students. In 1998, They both matriculated. In The following year These students continued with The Choir training and were compensated for Their services by The School Governing Body (SGB). In 2001 They were snatched by nearby Schools that were willing to pay Them better wages and The SGB had to look for oTher people who could assist with Choir training from The community. This continued until 2004, when The School employed a teacher who studied music at university. In 2009 anoTher teacher, who studied music too, came and volunteered his services at The School. In 2010 The teacher was employed on a temporary basis by The Department of...    less
