We specialize in singing indidenous and folk music music from Ghana, West Africa, proudly exhibiting, learning and teaching our African heritage to the world. GCC meets every monday 7pm to sing, discuss about life, encourage each other and share ideas. less

the Choir is known for its friendly and embracing nature and the current 34 men & women members who are very keen to welcome new members of all Voice Parts.
the Choir's repertoire and is made up of a wide selection of musical genres which appeal to both members and audiences alike.Composers and arrangers are generally modern from UK and USA. Stage songs/ medleys are particular favourites of choir members. less

Program notes:
A famous text also famously used by Gibbons himself for his own Madrigal, Hailstork here pays homage to the work's 16th-century roots. An early composition (written while in college) from the proflic composer, Hailstork combined his own language with his love for choral literature to create a piece reminiscent of the Renaissance with a modern flair. the harmonic language harkens back to a hexachordal modality of the 16th century, uses an unaccompanied SATB choir, and employs varied moments of imitative polyphony and homophony.
