This is a choir for mission through praising. Pilgrim Mission choir gives regular concert once a year with ever new and differentiated Church music leading the circle of choral music as a pioneer. The choir is also recognized with its performance. It manages concerts more than 10 times a year like rush of invitation, local tour and Church tour concert. Focusing on Church music, repertoires of the choir cross over every age like renaissance, motet, baroque and classic, and every genre like spirituals, gospel and modern music. The choir currently has around 30 members, with Martin Weston as musical director. The choir's repertoire is wide and varied, with many songs taken from shows and films. We also sing sacred, gospel, jazz, pop and world music, with the odd novelty number thrown in! We perform at many events in Lancashire and Merseyside, including two main concerts each year at Rainford Parish Hall, plus charity events and private functions.  less

We are an SATB choir of between 40 & 50 singers. We perform a wide range of sacred and secular choir music at 3 concerts a year, in Ealing. Experienced singers are very welcome.

The success of this project led to a charity perfo...  morePatrick McCarthy founded the Colchester Bach choir in November 1992 when he agreed to train a choir to perform a baroque programme with Frederick Marshall and the Lavenham Sinfonia in Long Melford Church. The success of this project led to a charity performance of Messiah co-directed by Patrick and Peter Holman at the Swinburne Hall, Colchester Institute, which was part broadcast by Classic FM. Since then the choir has presented three or four concerts each season in Colchester (usually at St. Botolph's Church), often featuring baroque music.
