His refashioned version with the famous Latin text Ubi caritas et amor was commissioned by Prince William and premiered by the Choirs of Westminster Abbey and Her Majesty's Chapel Royal, conducted by James O'Donnell, at the Royal Wedding of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales with Miss Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey in April 2011. Mealor uses a combination of a plainchant style and misleading harmonic suspensions similar to those of Eric Whitacre or Morten Lauridsen. Mealor's setting of Ubi caritas is reminiscent of the original Gregorian antiphon melody - ...    less

Originally composed for full orchestra, Choir and soloists, it was rearranged for SATB a capella Choir by Tin in 2011. The text is a translation of the Lord's Prayer in Swahili. Although their trajectory is short they...  moreTantak Korala is a child-Youth group from Mungia, which performs choral activities in addition to his musical training. The Choir is composed by children between 7 to 18, all directed by their conductor, Asun Lopez. Although their trajectory is short they have much encouragement to learn and improve. In 2009, they federated in the Bizkaia´s Choir Federation (BAE) and so they did their first performance in public. Since then, they have decided to continue participing everywhere they can, because it enriches them in their musical konwledge. In 2010 they won the second prize in the National Contest of Carols of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. In 2012 they took part in Europa Cantat Festival, celebrated in Torino (Italy).  less
