Th... moreThe Koro San Isidro Labrador de CAA is the official choir of San Isidro Labrador Chapel of Mary Queen of Apostles Parish (MQAP) located in the cities of Parañaque And Las Piñas. Formed on 1995, the choir mainly Sings at masses at the chapel every week. The members are composed of high school, college students And out of school youth And employees who lives in Timog, CAA, Las Piñas City that is why the former name of the choir was Timog Youth Choir. The name was changed since the choir started to expAnd its age range from 15-20 years old to open age as long as the member would fit the singing style of the choir. The choir usually held Christmas concerts And performs at quarterly general assembly of choirs in the parish. Last June 2010, the choir became the Champions of the first-ever Choral Competition of the MQAP in line with the parish’s 25th Anniversary wherein they bested other choirs which comprises the whole parish. This choir is partnered with a non-profit organization called the New Yor... moreThe Salt And Light Chorale is an SATB choir that Sings music from a variety of genres such as: Gospel, Spirituals, Jazz, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical And Russian Choral Music.
This choir is partnered with a non-profit organization called the New York Community Alliance for Sickle Cell Anemia Inc. We plan to use our concert venues for aiding this organization's cause.
Our conductor John Hunter II is a young but competent conductor. He received his Master's in Choral Conducting from Mansfield University. To hear some of his works, you may go to his website at http://www.wix.com/hunterjj14/my-web . By simply going to the Choral Listening Room in his website you can hear a number of works conducted by him.
We will be holding auditions this Saturday.
