In mid-April, 2011, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus to join the choir in recording 3 of his pieces, (the teaser/trailer URL is found below) This performance of Gjeilo's "Ubi Caritas" is from that session, following a rendition in which the composer joined the choir and improvised an accompaniment (URL below). In this video the choir sings the piece in its published (unaccompanied) version. One behind-the-scenes comment: On the last page of the piece, when the first melodic material occurs again - Ola, who was sitting in the hall, asked half the choir to hum while the other half sang to create a more ethereal effect. Our repertoire embraces a cappella music, from renaissance to contemporary, as well as Choral works with keyboard and orchestral accompaniment. 2012 concerts range fom JS Bach St John Passion, with orchestra, to a programme of Scottish music (Carver to MacMillan) via Horrotorio!

As these things do however, the ...  moreThe New 4tet is a group of four friends, Gemma, Emma, Gary and Noel, who as very experienced Choral singers decided to meet once in a while to drink wine, chat, socialise, and do a bit of singing together, just for fun. As these things do however, the project has started to grow arms and legs, and we became available for the occasional bit of singing in public when we feel like it. Since then our performances have included singing in Glasgow Art Club, and in Edinburgh for the Royal College of Physicians. Based in the west of Scotland, we have all sung together in a prominent Glasgow choir, but the New 4tet gives us a chance to enjoy the much more intimate sensations of singing one to a part. All four of us have been involved in the music industry to a greater or lesser degree, and we all sing to a very high standard and love performing. Although their trajectory is short they...  moreTantak Korala is a child-youth group from Mungia, which performs Choral activities in addition to his musical training. The choir is composed by children between 7 to 18, all directed by their conductor, Asun Lopez. Although their trajectory is short they have much encouragement to learn and improve. In 2009, they federated in the Bizkaia´s Choir Federation (BAE) and so they did their first performance in public. Since then, they have decided to continue participing everywhere they can, because it enriches them in their musical konwledge. In 2010 they won the second prize in the National Contest of Carols of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. In 2012 they took part in Europa Cantat Festival, celebrated in Torino (Italy).  less
