This intercultural choir comprises fifteen amateur singers from several african countries. It was first establishments in 1996 in Dakar by a group of youth who adored the art of singing. The choir consistently performed varions type of music, gathering between both classical and modern music (folklore and international). It transcended continents, surpassed réas and diversified its origins from spiritual music, through romantic, to religious and reaching comic music, with a tendency towards african melodies and rythms. It urges us to re-discover and unveil the musical treasures of african continent that dates back to ancestors and to the native people of the Black continent. Directe...  moreBlossom Street is a highly versatile and vibrant chamber choir comprising some of the UK’s best young singers which performs regularly on TV and radio as well as on the concert platform, and has released two critically acclaimed CDs with Naxos. Directed by Hilary Campbell, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, the group was formed a decade ago, while the singers were studying at the University of York, and relocated to London in 2007. In York, Blossom Street filmed a medley of Christmas carols for BBC2, which was broadcast during the snooker final in 2005, and since then has performed nationwide and beyond. They sang to Prince Charles on ITV1 as part of his 60th birthday celebrations, and gave their debut in Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the Voicelab series in 2009. Performing three concerts a year with professional soloists and orchestra, we are fast broadening our repertoire singing music from all genres with a truly varied programme of the highest quality. We are a non auditioned choir, always keen to encourage new members, particularly Tenors. We rehearse on Mondays from 7.30 to 9.30 at St Peter's Church, Wyndham Square, Plymouth.

We are a newly formed Ensemble of women's voices from Canterbury in Kent. Our repertoire ranges from classical motet to jazz and female barbershop. We perform on a regular basis across Kent and have on going partnership links with choirs in the UK and France.
