Every year the Choir adds a different kinds of music to its repertoire as long as they’re acappella and produces at least 2 relevant projects in every performance year. All the repertoires contains just unique compositions or arrangements for Acappella Grup 34 Choir. Originally dedicated to performing 17th and 18th century operas, the membership voted to rename the group Richmond Opera in 2016 to reflect a diversification into performing operas of other eras. Our next opera will be a fully staged performance of JF Lampe's burlesque 'The Dragon of Wantley', a hilarious pastiche of Handel's operas, sung in English with baroque orchestra, at the lovely Victorian Normansfield Theatre. It was such a riot back in the day that it eclipsed Handel's more serious works!
