A unique cultural institution in East London since 1973, Hackney Singers are a 150-strong community choir drawing members from Hackney, surrounding boroughs and across London.

The Merry Poppins. Last Sunday we performed in Café De Pianist in Amsterdam. That's me in the bottom right corner playing and conducting :) We performed songs from musicals such as Hair, Fiddler on the Roof, Sister Act, and of course Mary Poppins. Hughes with accompaniment by pianist Lyudmila Lakisova, flautist Leslie Short, and oboist Deb Stevenson. The text comes from Isaac Watt's paraphrase of Psalm 23. We hope our performance demonstrates our love of singing together and our passion for sharing music with audiences.
