The choir performs concerts each semester and also sings at Remembrance Day ceremonies, convocation ceremonies, and other events on campus and in the community. We are a volunteer, non-auditioned group open to all, but choir members are expected to regularly attend rehearsals and the semester retreat, and to practice their parts on their own time. We usually put up practice files under “Resources” (members-only access) so that you can download your part and listen to it on whatever portable music-playing device you own. No musical experience is needed, but the ability to read music is an asset (if you can't read music, we'll help you learn).  less

How I wrote the composition Hope to process a miscarriage, or how I wrote I Will Lift My Eyes at a time when multiple family members, both young and old, were being diagnosed with cancer. No matter life’s challenges, music has always been an outlet for me to cope and heal. It has helped me to persevere and fight through some of life's most difficult moments, ultimately making me a stronger person. The world can be a challenging place, but each of us are warriors—armed with the gift to sing, and filled with the fire, passion, drive, and grit to conquer anything. Voices of Gotham is open to all singers in the TTBB range interested in the barbershop style. Since the Chorus' founding in 2008, VoG has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the country's leading incubators of both new barbershop music, and of young musical artists who will shape the continuing evolution and excellence of the barbershop tradition. VoG is ranked by the BHS as one of the top ten barbershop Choruses worldwide. We hebben momenteel 22 leden maar streven in de toekomst naar een ledental van 30 (of meer natuurlijk). Onze leden komen uit Doetinchem, Zutphen, Ulft, Steenderen, Gaanderen, Etten en Megchelen. Het doel van Miracle Sound is om het Barbershopzingen bekend te maken bij een groter publiek maar vooral: plezier maken! Het repertoire bestaat uit evergreens, love- en popsongs, musicals en ballads. Uiteraard allemaal gezongen in Barbershop-stijl, dus zonder muzikale begeleiding!  less
