It is composed and directed by youths who though come from various sectors in society share the same passion….love for Music. they venture into old and contemporary Music, going through each piece in bits and pieces, in its history, in its interpretation, in its message! their dedication and constant development, thanks to their Musical direct or Marouska Attard, has helped them establish as one of the most renowned Choirs in Malta. In fact, on ‘the Guardian’ of November 16th, 2010, one of their major productions was listed with the top ten events in Europe, alongside internationally renowned producers and productions. This is the encore performance from Cuore's 'Mirabilia' concert on 27th April 2024, at which we were privileged to give the Irish premiere. 'In taberna quando sumus' (‘when we are in the tavern’) begins as a militaristic account of the immoral acts of the inebriated crowd, and the march soon descends into anarchy with a list of merrymakers joining in the mischief: included are mistress, master, priest, pauper, men, women, white, black, the Pope, old ladies, mothers, children, merchants, Christians, the smart, and the lazy. the composer writes: “In my imagination, the piece is a fusion of primal energy, irony, and dark grotesque, envisioning an ecstatic celebration akin to a lively party at Bacchus’ house.”. He fuses percussive lyrics, energetic rhythms and sometimes almost drunken modulations to capture this raucous mood.  less

Gospel Music allows us to become closer to God and closer to each other. Sometimes you have to forget what's gone, appreciate what remains, and look forward to what's coming next...let praise and worship God.
