Known for its’ varying repertoire, ranging from adaptations of classical music, jazz standards, folk and Rock arrangements to dancehall and hip hop songs, the ensemble is lead by choir director and music teacher Mrs. Susanne Faatz. “JazzVocals” was founded twenty years ago and is one of Berlin’s veteran jazz/pop acappella ensembles.

Our mission is to spread a message of respect for the natural World through music from across the globe, and we have performed at events su...  moreShakti Sings is a national choir of over 150 people who come together every month to honour the earth through song. Our mission is to spread a message of respect for the natural World through music from across the globe, and we have performed at events such as Glastonbury Festival 2013 Opening Ceremony, and the United Nations World Environment Day concert in Staines and in Oxford Street, central London. We welcome men and women of all abilities, and sessions are taught by ear so no experience is needed, just a passion for singing and a love of the earth! Our Musical Director is the renowned Susie Ro Prater who has supported choirs and natural voice movement workshops for many years. Our very enjoyable choir practices take place once a month at the Hythe Centre in Egham, Staines, easily accessible by train from Central London and free parking onsite. We are a women's non auditioned choir. We sing across a wide range of genres from light classical through to pop and Rock. We sing in 3-4 parts, and while working hard on our developing sound, we like to have fun!
