The members of the Ensemble are all amateurs and have the same ideal that their performance can touch the heart of every audience through their well-trained voices. Their repertoires include folk songs, classical songs, musical pieces, pops, and premiere works by renowned composers. In March 2011, Plaisir Ensembe achieved a great success in the “1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition” organized by the INTERKULTUR. They won the Gold Diploma, the Category Winner as well as the Overall Winner of Chamber Choirs. The Ensemble is one of the Top 50 Female Choirs in the Musica Mundi World Ranking List.  less

Being a recent ensemble, it premiered in the March 2015 concert with the Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in the Chapel of Covão do Coelho and the Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Caldara, A. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, G. We are a group of friends who got to know each other while singing in the same academic or chamber choirs. Eventually, our passion for the classical music led us to create our own vocal ensemble. In our repertoire there are also some pop music arrangements.

Any person acquainted with student culture understands the important role of music and singing in the life of a young person. Acastella is a platform for young adults studying at Stellenbosch University to practice their love of singing. The students in the KCKCC VJ program learn Jazz Education through a variety of methods. First of all, each of these students take private vocal jazz coachings weekly. They also perform music by professional vocal ensembles, arrangements by well-known vocal jazz educators, and learn jazz and popular music standards (both through the ensemble and in private coachings).  less

Their sound combines rock, acapella, electronic, ambient and chant influences. Paradisum was created by Richard Childress, a Chicago-born professional singer, arranger and manager who brought together five talented and versatile young singers to record a few demo tracks. This attracted some attention from a veteran A & R professional, resulting in Paradisum being invited to perform in a private showcase in London before execs from Universal and Sony/BMG Records. The band is now in a new exciting collaboration with the brilliant tv and film composer Philip Sheppard. New covers and original sings will be out on Soundcloud and iTunes early in 2012.  less
