Their initial vision was to be a Turkish choir which is capable of making World class polyphonic music in Turkey and performing on international stages around The World. The choir performed onstage for The first time on 12th August 2017, in The city of Batumi in Georgia. This concert was organized under The auspices of The Turkish consulate general in Batumi, in The concert hall of The Zakaria Paliashvili Music School. A selection of modern polyphonic songs from various cultures were performed and The performance received great praise from The audience. Then The choir respectively appeared in front of audiences in Ankara, Kastamonu and Adana, followeed by Their participation in Turkey Choirs Festival in June. Then in August, Anchorus participated in The competition episode of The “Orhid Choir Festival” which was held in The town of Orhid in Macedonia. The Games included twenty seven thousand singers from four hundred choirs representing seventy three countries. The Games included twenty seven thousand singers from four hundred choirs representing seventy three countries. Dozan wa Awtar, under The leadership of its Founder and Director Shireen Abu Khader, competed in two categories: Scenic Folklore and Mixed Choirs; singing Arabic songs in both and receiving a Gold Diploma in each category. This is The first time Jordan is represented in an international choral competition. On this occasion, Shireen Abu Khader expressed her immense pride at this accomplishment and international recognition and commended The continuous efforts of The singers which led to this achievement. She also thanked all those who have given both financial and moral support to The choir, as this could not have been achieved without Their help.
