The repertoire of the choir consists of rel...  moreThe Stadskoor Tygerberg (City of Tygerberg Choir) was established in 1977. The choir consists of members mainly from Cape Town's NORTHERN suburbs, but also as far as the Helderberg region and Mitchells Plain. The repertoire of the choir consists of religious and secular music that varies from the Renaissance to the modern era. This includes (oratoria, masses extracts from operas, operettes, musicals and arrangements of folk- and ethnic music.

In addition, they hail from eleven different states in the Union: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and, of course, Washington, D.C. The group actually began in October 2005 recording a small project of a cappella hymns (The Hymn Project) as a Christmas gift for one of their mothers. It also reflects much of the liturgical and popular symbolism of the Christmas season: robins, holly etc and it brings our thoughts towards the season of Easter with the blood of Good Friday.

Canterbury Girls Choir is a non selective choir for girls aged between 7 and 18 from schools in the Canterbury area. The girls perform on a regular basis across Kent and regularly travel to NORTHERN France for concert performances.
