Yet our passion of singing joins us every week to rehears interesting and rarely performed music. With passion and great ambition, music and literature from all over the world comes sensually alive. The focus of our music is located in the Baltic region. Of course! Our cherished and beloved conductor Arūnas Pečiulis is from Lithuania. In 2016 we released our first own CD "Christmas in Orange" with traditional and extraordinary Christmas songs from all over the world. We are also represented with a total of three pieces on the CDs „Salzburg singt 2 - Advent" and „Salzburg singt 3 - Adventkalender" of the Salzburg Choir Association. In 2017 we made our first big trip abroad to Lithuania and Latvia, in 2018 we were one of only two „non-Lithuanian“ choirs to take part in the Lithuanian song festival „Dainų šventė“ in Vilnius. They have been featured ...  moreThe 1607 Ensemble is a closely-knit Vocal quartet that was selected as young artists at the Brighton Early Music Festival in 2007, and has gone on to perform in festivals throughout the UK and internationally in Utrecht and Capri. They have been featured on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ and ‘The Early Music Show.’ The members of the 1607 Ensemble hail from Britain, Canada, and the US, and their diverse musical backgrounds and affinity for a variety of musical styles are evident in their music. Equally at home singing Renaissance music and jazz, they also write their own compositions and arrangements, often combining old and new styles in music tailored to their unique Vocal colours. One of the Ensemble’s long-time interests has been the poetry of Clément Marot in 16th-century chanson.
