Toujours à la recherche de r...  moreL’ensemble vocal Para L’Elles, créé en septembre 2011 par Agnès BLIN au sein de l’École Municipale des Musiques et de Danse de MONTMAGNY (95 Val-d’Oise), explore le répertoire pour voix de femmes de la Renaissance à nos jours. Toujours à la recherche de répertoires originaux, l’ensemble interprète soit des œuvres écrites initialement pour ensemble vocal féminin, soit des adaptations pour ce type de formation. depuis sa création, Para L’Elles s’est déjà produit plusieurs fois en Ile-de-France (Paris et banlieue) et dans le Périgord, individuellement et lors de rencontres musicales, soit a cappella soit accompagné au piano ou par un ensemble instrumental. L’ensemble est actuellement constitué de sept chanteuses amateurs confirmées, venues d’univers professionnels très différents mais que la passion du chant réunit. Elles peuvent être tour à tour soliste au sein de l’ensemble.  less

Every year Dziesmuvara takes part in international or national choral competitions. Since 2013 the choir has travelled to Poland, Lithuania, France and Czech Republic and all around Latvia. Dziesmuvara also participates in the Latvian Song Celebration festivals and occasionally teams up with fellow university and youth choirs to sing together in concerts. The more, the merrier!

(Www.africanyouthchoir.org) This biennial project is organizing a technical course with cultural exchange during a Summer camp for two weeks in an African country. Then the choir is prepared to perform in major events in Africa, or to represent Africa in major festivals included in the global agenda of choral singing. The desire is to gather young singers from around Africa for integration through song, to enrich their cultural diversity, to to become messengers of peace on the continent and throughout the world, but also a model of multiculturalism. 40 singers from 10 african countries are selected after testing (16 to 26 years old) and work with an experienced conductor. The choir, which has a membership of around 30 voices, was formed in 2007 by its Musical Director, Sheila Farmer. A Cappella is a touring choir, having visited Prague and France, and hoping to make a tour to Spain in the near future. The choir rehearses every other Saturday morning, between 10 a.m. and noon.

Since 2008 the St. Lawrence Choir has been under the direction of Michael Zaugg. The Swiss-born musician has distinguished himself as an innovative and versatile conductor on the Canadian choral scene. Active as artistic director, guest conductor, pedagogue and clinician, Michael Zaugg brings a wealth of experience and creativity to his work. St. Lawrence Choir was formed in 1972 by Iwan Edwards and a group of singers residing in the West Island of Montreal. Concerts were presented in Lachine until 1983 when the Choir relocated to downtown Montreal. The small training choir is able to travel anywhere. To da...  moreFormed in November 2005, the choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the choir also run a training choir to train other choirs to perform Gospel music. The small training choir is able to travel anywhere. To date they have travelled to Cornwall, devon, derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole choir is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year.
